Dye and prophecies offhands
I see many peeps wondering why some flame artifacts are dyeable and why some are not. Same thing is with many prophecies offhands. Inscribed chakrams are the same way. well i found that my crafter pre searing inscribed chakram is dyeable and one i crafter in droks forge is also dyeable. how ever any of them droped from monsters will not accept dye. Im sure we would find this true of many of the tyrian offhands like the flame artifact.
i think it would be great if we shed some light on this wierd "phenomena". any info u have about it please post here for me and others who are confused by it JRyan |

I'm just guessing here, but I think for Prophecies items, the developers didn't have time to finish doing "color layers" (not sure what terminology to use) for every item. Similar to what you mention, there are some Prophecies items such as the hand axe that will only take certain colors of dye! (I dyed mine green, purple, silver, and even black - but red wouldn't work)

Not sure really....some things might be age as well. I have a perfect "fleshy" horn bow I love from waaaaaaaay back when. It won't dye at all, does the red circle thing, but the new fleshy horns are supposed to dye kinda pretty. **shrug**
